At Eyüpsultan Zero Waste Center, which is the first Automatic Packaging Waste Sorting Facility on the European Side of Istanbul, 3 thousand tons of Packaging Waste per month is brought into the economy. In the facility, there are automatic separation systems such as bag opener, pre-separation cabin, ballistic separator, magnet, disc sieve, separation band and bale-press machine that can compress 15 tons of packaging waste per hour.
EYÜPSULTAN ZERO WASTE CENTER, WITH AN AREA OF 4,168 SQUARE METERS
In Eyüpsultan Zero Waste Center, which has a total area of 4.168 m² and accepts 13 types of waste; A 1,030 m² 1st Class Waste Retrieval Center was built.
In the 1st Class Waste Retrieval Center, 93 m² Temporary Non-Hazardous Waste Storage Building, 32 m² Temporary Hazardous Waste Storage Building, 905 m² open area with asphalt floor have been completed.
Packaging wastes are collected from all neighborhoods with a total of 11 vehicles, including 10 hydraulic compaction vehicles and 1 mini vehicle.
HOW DOES THE AUTOMATIC PACKAGING SEPARATION PLANT WORK?
After the collected packaging wastes are brought to the Eyüpsultan Zero Waste Center in the Alibeyköy Construction Site, they are left on the feeding belt and come to the disc sieve section.
disc sieve; While sending materials such as cardboard, plastic drums and tins to the separation band, other small materials that pass through the sieve go to the other separation band. The smaller pieces are then sent to the Ballistic Separator to be sorted according to their size.
MATERIALS ARE SEPARATED INTO TWO AND THREE DIMENSIONS
Materials separated in two and three dimensions come to the separating band separately and are thrown into the chambers according to their types. While the metal parts are separated untouched by the magnet on the three-dimensional separation band, the separated materials are poured into a separate band to go to the press machine after they are filled in the chambers and pressed.
