The application period for the TechXtile Start-Up Challenge, the entrepreneurship program organized every year by Uludağ Textile Exporters Association to encourage innovation and R&D in the textile and ready-made clothing industry, has been extended upon intense demand from entrepreneurs.
The program, which students, academicians and entrepreneurs from many universities across the country apply to, continues to bring start-ups with new technologies and ideas to the sector. The program, which has become a platform where scalable, commercializable and innovative projects compete and are supported, also provides the opportunity to bring entrepreneurs to the sector with Level-Up and Scale-Up categories.
UTİB Chairman of the Board of Directors Pınar Taşdelen Engin stated that the interest shown in the program is very valuable for both the sector and our country and said, "TechXtile Start-Up Challenge is a platform where entrepreneurs compete with their technological depth and innovation skills, design new products and services, and strengthen collaborations in the sector." It continues to strengthen its position day by day. "Our program, which has brought many successful entrepreneurs to the sector so far, continues to reveal success stories that resonate across Turkey," he said.
Stating that many projects that were ranked in the past attracted attention in the sector and that the initiatives received investments reaching millions of dollars, Engin said, “We designed this program to open the doors for our young entrepreneurs who will shape the future of our sector. By creating not only a competition but also a platform of opportunities, we aim to reveal creative projects, support their commercialization processes and help them become internationally competitive. We have extended the application period upon request from our young people. "All entrepreneurs and entrepreneur candidates across the country can apply within this period," he said.
