Samsun will host the European Film Week, which will be held in 10 cities in Turkey, after Ankara, Eskişehir, Trabzon and Izmir. During the European Films Week, which will be held in partnership with Samsun EU Information Center, which continues its activities under the umbrella of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO), and Eflatun Kitap and Samsun Cinema Community, 16 films from 16 EU member countries will meet moviegoers at Paribu Cineverse Samsun Yeşilyurt AVM Cinema Halls. Cinema lovers from Samsun will be able to watch European films free of charge every day for a week. The first screening will be the Lithuanian film 'Runner'. Inviting all movie lovers to the event, Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO) Chairman Salih Zeki Murzioğlu said, “We have been hosting the EU Information Center under the roof of our Chamber since 1997. During this time, we, as Samsun EU Information Center, organized dozens of social and cultural events. Again, with a very special event, we will introduce European films that we cannot find at the box office to our people. After the premiere in Ankara on June 13, "European Film Week" started its journey in the provinces in Eskişehir and Trabzon on 16-22 June 2023; It continued in Izmir on 11-16 September; It will be held simultaneously in Samsun, Antalya, Bursa, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Edirne and Mersin on 22-28 September.
